Rene Rumkorf is a motorcycle enthusiast and electronics specialist living in the Netherlands who maintains a web page detailing his various motorcycles, those of his friends, and rides they've taken. He made it into this blog because he was brave enough to post a photo of the his first project ever- the customized Flandria moped seen above. A bit crude- no suspension, and wheels that look like they came off a baby buggy- but it did launch him on a lifetime of fun with larger bikes.
Flandria built mopeds from 1958 until 1981, when all production ceased. I'm not sure how many made it to the US, but judging from European web sites, there are still quite a few on the roads the other side of the Atlantic.
